“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me
has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life.” Jn 5:17-30
St. Patricks Day!
Today we celebrate the great St. Patricks patron of missionaries. This celebration reminds us of the missionary mandate Christ entrusted to the Church. Mission indeed is a requirement of the Church’s catholicity. According to the CCC, this mission is ultimately grounded in the eternal love of the Most Holy Trinity: The Father who gave us his Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit we receive through the Son. Being sent, requires a lot of patience. Inculturation if the Gospel takes time and people are usually penetrated by different degrees. May we continue to make disciples of all nations, may the Holy Spirit be our guide against discrepancies that may occur in the message we proclaim and our human weakness, and like St. Patricks, may we always proclaim God’s love to everyone, everywhere.
PS Prayers for Ijeoma IJ Happy Birthday, St. Patricks Ondo, Oka and Alumni of St. Patrick’s College.
