She replied and said to him,
“Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Mk 7:24-30
The story of the Syrophoenician woman, is one of the many stories in the Bible that highlights the vocation of women as the gentle force of change. At this moment when our world is deeply wounded and our systems runs the risk of becoming inhuman, women are naturally empowered to reconcile humanity with life.
According to Pope VI, “Women, you do know how to make truth sweet, tender and accessible; you to whom life is entrusted at this grave moment in history, it is for you to save the peace of the world” (Address to women at the conclusion of the Vatican II , 8 December 1965)
Let us pray today for wives, mothers of families, consecrated women, women living alone, women on trial, Christian or non believing women, young girls; that staying true to their vocation, they may continue to bring out the best of our common experience. Amen and have a blessed day!

Thank you Father, and well done on this.
It’s quiet inspiring and elevating.
Thanks you father Dada
Thanks Father for this call on women to help in restoring humanity. Indeed, God gave man authority over his household but unto women, He gave the power of influence. If, only we would use this right and change the world for better otherwise, unimaginable havoc can be unleash on the world. May God grant us the grant needed to do the needful. Keep on doing great Padre. We miss you here at home in St Louis parish, Akure.
Nice job Padre. May God open our Inner mind so that we may realise the roles of women in our salvation. More strength and wisdom Padre.
Thank you Father.
Thank you and may the Holy Spirit continue to inspire your messages!
