Friday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time

I myself am convinced about you, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another. But I have written to you rather boldly in some respects to remind you, because of the grace given me by God Rom 15:14-21

While St. Paul acknowledges the goodness in his audience, he also affirmed the grace through his divine appointment, to minister for them. St. Augustine said almost the the same thing on the anniversary of his ordination ( I don’t know which) “For you I am a bishop, with you, after all, I am a Christian  The first is the name of an office undertaken, the second a name of grace’. Christ  unceasingly builds up and leads his Church through this grace. and we all share in it.
