Fr. Steve was ordained in the month of September. Please remember him and his nine priest brothers in your prayers.

Today, the Church celebrates St. John Chrysostom – the “golden mouthed” preacher of the Word of God. Blessed with the gift of eloquence, he invested it and other gifts in proclaiming the gospel because “he wants everyone to be saved and reach full knowledge of the truth” as St. Timothy admonished in our First Reading of today.

In our gospel reading of today, we met with a centurion who also invested in the building of the synagogue for the sake of others coming to the knowledge of the truth.
All we have has been given by the Lord? In what do you invest all that the Lord has given you? Do you invest in your eternity and in bringing others to the Knowledge of the truth. It pays to invest in the proclamation of the gospel. For this, St. Chrysostom is today celebrated. With this, the centurion was rewarded. If you do the same, the reward is great and will be given by God. – Fr. Stephen.
