Through the intercession of St. Monica, may God grant the patience and perseverance we need to nurture our relationships in positive growth. The Gospel reading today is about the 10 bride’s maids, waiting for the groom. Five of this maids took extra oil for their lamps. We need extra oil to be able to stretch beyond our comfort zone especially in family relationships and relationships with those we love and care about.
