I usually say a word of thanks after I celebrate the Holy Mass for the active participation of the ministers of the celebration, and everyone present. Well, Pope Pius X, whose memorial we celebrate today formulated the principle of participatio actuosa (active participation). He also encouraged the frequent reception of the Eucharist.  Pope Pius X left the Church a legacy of humility and invitation to a closer union with God.
