Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23)

As we begin our lenten journey with a modified celebration of the rite of sprinkling of ashes, it is important to note that what throughly matters is the heart, and its disposition to God. The ashes on the head and torn garments are meaningful to the degree they are able to activate repentance and renewal. Maybe the time is now. May the circumstances around us is offering us the opportunity to be true worshipers.
